On the journey we each walk towards personal fulfillment. A positive self image is one of the most necessary components in reaching our goals. As we release negative patterns and self destructive habits, it is essential that we replace them with healthier behaviors and thoughts. Using visualization and creating positive affirmations is an effective way to support this healing process. The Tarot can be used as the key for visualizing these wonderful possibilities for ourselves.

The Tarot is full of wonderful cards, representing many exciting possibilities. With the focus on your intention you can select cards which reflect your desired goals. Here is a simple exercise to try with the Tarot. Look at your Tarot deck with the cards facing up. Think about your goals and desires, and pick the cards that you feel would most support and define your wishes as they are in their most perfect form. Let yourself imagine your goals actually manifesting and bringing you your deepest desires now in the present. Instead of seeing your dream as something you will do someday, imagine the actual experience of reaching your goal happening while you meditate on your affirmation. Know that as you create this in Tarot form you are working to bring this to manifest on earth. As above so below... By "acting as if" your life becomes more the way you want it to be.

One card which is especially appropriate for this exercise is the Sun. The Sun is the card which represents self esteem and happiness.

Confidence and love radiates from the heart of The Sun. She has the ease of knowing her truest self and takes great pleasure from that knowledge. Satisfaction instills joy and comfort in every living cell. Her unbridled ecstasy shines around her, inspiring joy in others. Happiness illuminates her life. The serenity of self fulfillment brings total peace.

Within us, she is the contentment we know with self love. She is the pride we feel with our accomplishments. The Sun blesses us with her light, letting us see our selves as she sees us, in all our divine glory.

With her enthusiasm we find courage to believe and reach our highest potential. As the love and light of The Sun shines on us we come to our healing, our strength, our ecstasy, our health, our energy, our selves.
