Hurtling out of the void
To meet oneself
Half above
Half below
From
Friction
Steam
& Desire
This helix is formed
Teeming mass of mytocondrial ooze
First simple chains of amino acids
Then single celled bodies in motion
Was it just some random chain reaction of salts and peptides
or was it destiny?
Cells divide
Expand ad infinitum
Forming skin, bones, a beating heart, and even tiny little fingernails
Here in this aminiotic sea
A body becomes
Earth my Body
Breakfast lunch dinner and more
A mother feasts to feed a soul
Water my Blood
Everything is water
Ventrical wave upon ventrical wave
The heart is an ocean
Air my Breath
Thoughts still form outside this vague container I pour my soul toward
Outside becomes inside
Through Her breath, through Her skin
Each breath a mother takes reveals the nature of this new world
Fire my Spirit
Quick silver flash dance
and bumps in the night
oh for the yearning
burning, churning
Need to fly
Running out of room
Coming close to term
Can't I stay just a little bit longer?
No!
It's time.
